Olha Ilkyv was working for the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) when she was captured by the Soviets and sent to jail. Her two small children were taken away, and she spent the next ten years trying to get any news about them.

She wrote hundreds of letters on tiny pieces of paper, smuggling them out of prison at any opportunity. She never imagined who would finally help her find her children…
